This chair was originally inspired by the purple chair in the pictures below that I found at a hostel/coworking space called "The Social Hub Berlin". It looked like you could sit in 2 different directions and it would cradle you. Turns out it was not built for that:(

This chair is also inspired by how I would sit in chairs. Shifting around and sitting in unconventional positions. So it's almost a chair and a half. Kind of a chair and a quarter.
